Dan Edginton

Dan “Stretch” Leroy Edginton, 66, of Ocean View, died June 17, 2020, at his residence. Born June 3, 1954 in Hillsboro, OR, he was a retired concrete mason, a hunter, fisherman, gardener and guitarist.

Private service to be held.

He is survived by wife, Kim Cox of Ocean View; mother, Margarette Nicholls; children, Justin Edginton of Illinois, Ryan Cox of Ocean View, Amanda Cox; siblings, Nikii Davis, Ray Edginton, Nancy Hernandez all of Oregon; hanai sister, Lisa Barbero of Ocean View; seven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Kazuko Murakami

Kazuko Murakami, 85, of Keaau, died March 23, 2020 at a private care home. Born Dec. 6, 1934, in Yokohama, Japan, she was a homemaker.

Private services at a later date.

She is survived by sister, Yoshiko Ueda of Japan; brother, Masatoshi Ohga of Japan; nephews and nieces.

Wayne Watanabe

Wayne K. Watanabe, 70, of Kailua-Kona, died June 15, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo on Oct. 20,1949, and raised in Kona, he was the branch manager for Mutual Underwriters Hilo and Kona offices. He was a member of the Kona Lions Club, founding member of Kolepa Hui Golf Club, and past president of PIA (Professional Insurance Agents). Private services held. No Koden.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Watanabe of Kailua-Kona; brother, Lance Watanabe; sisters, Diane Watanabe and Janice Watanabe, all of Kealakekua.

Josephine Boteilho

Josephine Castro Boteilho, 94, of Honokaa, died June 21, 2020, at her residence. Born in Honolulu on April 25, 1926, she was retired owner of Boteilho Hawaii Enterprise.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by her sons, Edward (Myra) Beteilho of Kohala, Gerald (Valerie) Boteilho of Waimea, Stanley (Camela) Boteilho of Kalopa, Franklin (Paula) Boteilho of Kona, Wayne (Iris) Botelho of Paauilo, James (Darla) Boteilho of Hilo; daughter, Joanne (Manfred) Branco of Ahualoa; brother, Phillip Castro of Texas; sister, Rose (Eugene) Guido of California; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sieglinde Jacobs

Sieglinde “Cindy” Jacobs, 75, of Kailua-Kona, died June 4, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Austria on Jan. 7, 1945, she was a certified nurse’s assistant.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Kupihea of Kailua-Kona; sister, Carmen (Lloyd) Mills of Kailua-Kona, Alfriede (Dave) Eldridge of Arizona, Edwina (Steve) Webster of Temecula, CA; nephews and nieces.
