The no-cost Webinar will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and teach attendees how to prep a business plan for entry into the fifth annual Hiplan Business Plan Competition, which includes a chance to win a $25,000 prize!

DLS announces Hawaii Island lab manager
Diagnostic Laboratory Services Inc., the largest locally owned clinical laboratory in Hawaii, recently that Shawna D. Ward has been hired as laboratory manager for its lab at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea.
Previously the director of informatics and laboratory services at Baylor Healthcare System in Fort Worth, Texas, Ward will be managing the daily operation at the hospital lab, ensuring the highest quality of laboratory services for the community.
Ward holds a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Texas Christian University and is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She is a Waimea resident.
