Kona Stories hosts book clubs via Zoom

Kona Stories hosts its Nonfiction Book Club on Tuesday via Zoom.

This week’s book is “Stony the Road: Reconstruction, White Supremacy, and the Rise of Jim Crow” By Henry Louis Gates. Book clubs meet at 6 p.m. to discuss the book and attendees should read it prior to attending the group and be prepared to discuss it. This group is open to all.

The book can be purchased online for home delivery or at the Keauhou Shopping Center store, which is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Zoom meeting instructions will be in the weekly newsletter. If you don’t get the newsletter, contact the store at KS@konastories.com no later than 3 p.m. the Monday before the meeting.

FOLK book clubs Tuesday

Friends of the Libraries Kona’s book clubs continue via Zoom amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Page Masters Book Club will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Participants must be in grades four to seven to take part in the competitive book club to enter the Newbery Quiz Bowl competition. For an invitation, contact jennifer.young@ librarieshawaii.org
