Harry Kalima Jr.
Harry “Butch” M. Kalima Jr., 61, of Hilo, died April 24, 2020, at his resident. Born March 24, 1959, in Hilo, he was the owner of Aqua Tech Pool Services, a former press operator at the Hawaii Tribune-Herald, and member of the Waiakea Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Ranalee Perreira
Ranalee Ann (Ignacio) Perreira, 70 of Ahualoa, died Dec. 21, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ookala, she was a retired school teacher and a proprietor of ABC WeeCare.

Dennis Nakashima
Dennis Masami Nakashima, 73, of Hilo, died Jan. 10, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired airport security for Securitas Security Services Hawaii, worked at Hilo Coast Processing Co., a carpenter and a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by wife, Edna Anderson of Hilo; son, Alvin Nakashima of Maui; daughters, Denise (Troy Julian) Nakashima and Glynn (Joshua) Genegabuas of Hilo; brothers, Calvin (Shirley) Nakashima of Keaau, Larry (Lono) Nakashima of Hilo, and Carl (Carlene) Nakashima of Las Vegas; sister, Sharon (Hiram) Okuda of Hilo; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kameichi Mento
Kameichi “Jimmy” Mento, 99, of Paukaa, died Feb. 7, 2021, at his residence. Born in Kukuihaele, he was the retired owner of the former Mento Service Station, U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Papaikou Hongwanji Mission and Hui Okinawa.
