The Hawaii Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating a 59-year-old Na‘alehu woman who was reported missing.
Gail Ka‘awa was last seen around 11 a.m. Dec. 8 leaving the Keahuolu Courthouse in Kailua-Kona, polcie said. Ka‘awa, who may frequent the Hilo area, has a medical condition that requires medication.
She is described as being Hawaiian, 5, feet 5 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with long wavy black hair and brown eyes, according to police.
Anyone who may have any information on her whereabouts should contact the department’s nonemergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Officer Bradley Waiki in Ka‘u Patrol at (808) 939-2520.
