Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two women who stole a shopper’s backpack from the men’s section of a discount department store last month in Kona

The suspects reportedluy took a blue, orange, and grey backpack containing identification cards, Bank of Hawaii cards, and $400 dollars in cash while the rightful owner was shopping around 12:30 p.m. Feb. 20, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The first suspect is described as a 50-year-old Asian woman, who is approximately 5 feet tall, weighing 100 pounds, and wearing grey leggings and a black top. The second suspect is described as a 19-year-old Asian woman, unknown height, weighing 100 pounds, and wearing a skirt.
