Alexander Beck Jr.

Alexander Keonikapu Beck Jr., 71, of Hilo, died March 28, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired firefighter for the County of Honolulu, board member of the Honolulu Fire Department Federal Credit Union, and member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha.

Services will be announced at a later date.

He is survived by son, Kala’iakeonekapu Beck; daughters, Maile Beck-Limbaugh, and Kealaka’i Beck Dudoit; brothers, Michael Beck and Thomas Beck; one grandchild; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Baron Ahulau

Baron P. Ahulau, 59, of Princeton, Illinois, died March 16, 2021, in Princeton. Born in Hilo, he was a sanitation engineer for the state of Illinois.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. April 20 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. Casual attire; no flowers.

He is survived by son, Kelvin Ahulau of Princeton, Ill.; hanai son, Cody Lohman of Princeton, Ill.; step daughter, Jacqueline DuPont of Kona; brothers, Francisco (Alana) San Jose, Lino San Jose, Glennon (April) Ahulau, all of Hilo, and Dale (Cathy) San Jose of Oregon; sister, PattyShawn Ahulau of Hilo; two grandsons; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Thelma Stephenson

Thelma Miye Stephenson, 90, of Hilo, died April 4, 2021, at her residence. Born in Hilo, she was a retired teacher at Kalanianaole Elementary School and taught line dancing to seniors.

Private services held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary.

She is survived by daughter, Laurie (Dan Everett) Crumb of Carrollton, TX.
