Police locate Na’alehu man sought for questioning in theft case

Update: Big Island police reported Tuesday that 28-year-old Steven Combes of Na’alehu, who was previously wanted for questioning in regards to a theft that occurred in Konam has been located.

Combes was found May 20 in Na’alehu where he was questioned regarding a theft that occurred in September 2020 at a retail establishment in Kona. Detectives assigned to the Area II Criminal Investigation Section will continue their investigation into the theft. Once complete, the investigation will be routed to the prosecuting attorney’s office for disposition.

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 28-year old Steven Combes of Na’alehu for questioning in regards to a theft that occurred in Kona.

Combes is described as being “local” and is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to the Hawaii Police Dpeartment.
