Anselmo Bilog
Anselmo Alip Bilog, 98, of Naalehu, died May 19, 2021, at his residence. Born Jan. 19, 1923, in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a retired crane operator for the former Ka’u Sugar Co. and a member of the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. July 17 at Naalehu County Cemetery for a service. Burial to follow.
He is survived by sons, Marcelino (Nora) Bilog of Waipahu, Oahu, and Julio (Angel) Bilog of Naalehu; daughters, Emelda Bilog of Naalehu and Melba (Renato) Flores of Waipahu, Oahu; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Herbert Nagata
Herbert Hatsuo Nagata, 80, of Hilo, died June 18, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born March 31, 1941, in Hilo, he was a retired pharmacist for Longs Drugs Stores, a U.S. Army veteran, Kyodan Director and member of Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission and member of Lower Houselots Kumiai.
Friends may call between 9 and 10 a.m. July 14 at Dodo Mortuary chapel. Private service to follow. The family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by sisters, Nancy Aoki of Pearl City, Oahu, and Joyce Anderson of Hilo; brother, Clyde (Christine) Nagata of Hilo; and nieces and nephews.

Nathan Wilson Jr.
Nathan Wilson Jr., 74, of Hilo, died June 15, 2021, at his son’s home. Born Dec. 23, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was a CDL Truck Driver for Yamada &Sons, Inc. and U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran.
Private services held.
He is survived by sons, Jared Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Caleb Wilson; and six grandchildren.

Gladys Nacis
Gladys Katsuko Nacis, 88, of Hilo, died May 12, 2021, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born Sept. 11, 1932, in Kona, she was a retired educational assistant with the Department of Education, a volunteer for Honokaa High School’s girl’s athletic sports events, a hula dancer, fisherwoman and member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Services will be held at a later date.
She is survived by sons, Vicente (Leona) Nacis and Tony (Cindy) Nacis, all of Papaaloa, Vance (Sandra) Awa of Kailua-Kona, John (Jessie) Nacis and Alberto (Debbie) Nacis, all of Arizona, Franklin (Amy) Nacis of Ocean View, and Artemio (Marion) Nacis of Texas; brother, Harold Haloke (Trudy) Awa of Kona; sisters, Mae Minamishim of Kailua-Kona and Florence Llanes of Kona; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sayoko Sawada
Sayoko Sawada, 88, of Hilo, died June 21, 2021, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Shimane-Ken, Japan, she was a retired assistant cook at the former Restaurant Fuji.
Private services held. The family requests no flowers or koden (monetary offerings).
She is survived by son, Noel (Geri) Sawada of Indiana; daughter, Karen (Howard) Meguro of Hilo; several brothers; a sister in Japan; five grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
