Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 was Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day in America. The Big Island VFW marked the day by dedicating the new Gold Star Families memorial monument at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day in America was recognized Sunday in Kailua-Kona.
