Deadline today for Kona coffee cupping competition

Submissions for the 2021 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Cupping Competition Coffee must be received by 4 p.m. today. All entries must be 100% Kona coffee grown in the district of Kona. Kona coffee entered in the competition will be scored on the globally accepted and recognized Specialty Coffee Association cupping format using a 100-point scale and evaluated in a double-blind format in the commercial and specialty divisions. Pacific Coffee Research oversees the prestigious Kona Coffee Cupping Competition.

Winners will be announced on Nov. 5 in the following divisions: Kona Classic, Kona Heritage, and Kona Crown. The Kona Coffee Festival runs Nov. 4 through 7 with in-person and virtual events.
