Kenneth Kudo

Kenneth Hisao Kudo, 67, of Pahoa, died Nov. 23, 2021 at his residence. Born Dec. 3, 1953, in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii Air National Guard Master Sergeant, worked as an environmental monitoring assistant for the state Department of Health, agent for AIG Hawaii, security guard at KTA Puainako and Hilo International Airport and member of New Hope Hilo.

Services held.

He is survived by daughter, Lori-Ann Kudo of Kurtistown; son, Steven (Carol) Kudo of Honolulu; brother, Paul (Alice) Kudo of Pearl City, Oahu; grandson, Brady Kudo; niece, Cathy (Eric) Lagrimas; nephew, Brian (Coreen) Kudo; and numerous cousins.

Francis Abe

Francis Shogo Abe, 86, of Kealakekua, died Dec. 10, 2021 at Marites Care Home. Born May 20, 1935, in Kealakekua, he was a retired customer service agent for the former Aloha Airlines, member of Kingsley Kumiai and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and a U.S. Army veteran.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Kathleen Abe of Kealakekua; sons, Steven Abe of Honolulu and Neil (Michelle) Abe of Kealakekua; daughter, Leanne Abe of Kealakekua; sister, Grace Hiraoka of Palo Verdes, California; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
