Richard Del Stevens

Richard Del Stevens, 74, of Keaau, died April 7, 2022 in Keaau. Born in 1947, he worked at Hertz Rental Car on the Big Island.

Services to be announced at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Nina; brother, Rob (Lynn) Stevens; three nephews; a grand-niece; and cousin, Janice.

Gisela McGuire

Gisela Agnes McGuire, 79, of Mountain View, died March 26, 2022, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Germany, she was a Department Manager at Wal-Mart in Hilo, member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.

Private services held.

She is survived by sons, Anthony (Patricia Bohls) McGuire of Elk Grove, California, and Quang Chi Ly of Covina, California.

James Oliveira

James Donald Oliveira, 88, of Hilo, died March 20, 2022, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Papaikou, he was a retired mover for the former Smitty Van Lines, U.S. Army veteran and member of the Portuguese Club.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 22, 2022, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Mercy Oliveira of Hilo; sons, Troy China (Kaui) Oliveira of Waikoloa, Kaohu James Oliveira of Hilo; daughter, Kehaulani Kaauwai of Kauai; sister, Betty Royston of Hilo; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Damien Fujioka

Damien Kalei Fujioka, 56, of Honokaa, died March 28, 2022 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Oct. 14, 1965 in Honokaa, he was a florist and event planner.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. April 30 at the Fujioka’s residence, 48-5190 Honokaa Waipio Rd. in Honokaa, for a celebration of life; luncheon to follow.

He is survived by parents, Lawrence Sr. and Katherine Fujioka; sister, Janelle (Thomas) Johnson; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and numerous cousins.

Tsze Miyashiro

Tsze Mei Miyashiro, 82, of Captain Cook, died April 6, 2022, at her residence. Born Oct. 10, 1939, in Toufen Mialihsien, Taiwan, she was a housekeeper at the former Kona Surf Resort.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. April 18 at Kona Memorial Park for a graveside service and burial. Family requests casual attire.

She is survived by daughter, Joyce Miyashiro of Captain Cook; sons, Bobby (Regina) Miyashiro of Captain Cook and Dennis (Robyn De Cambra) Miyashiro of Kailua-Kona; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
