George Britto

George E. Britto, 86, of Wainaku, died May 10, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired auto salesman for Orchid Isle Auto Center.

No services.

He is survived by wife, E. Penny; son, Glenn K.; and grandson, Lincoln K.

George Nakamoto

George Nakamoto, 89, of Kainaliu, died April 17, 2022 at his residence. Born Feb. 21, 1933, in Kainaliu, he was a co-owner of Kona Poultry Farm and member of Kainaliu Kumiai and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

Private services will be held at a later date. No koden or flowers.

He is survived by wife, Norma Nakamoto of Kainaliu; sons, Cy (Melanie) Nakamoto, Kurt Nakamoto; daughter, Lisa (Sam) Rivera, all of Kainaliu; brothers, Masao Nakamoto and Yasuo (Chieko) Nakamoto, all of Kailua-Kona and Junichi (Shirley) Nakamoto of Kealakekua; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wallace Tamaye

Wallace Mitsuo Tamaye, 84, of Captain Cook, died Jan. 1, 2022 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born June 14, 1937, in Honolulu, he was the owner of Auto Glass Service Hawaii.

He is survived by wife, Patricia Tamaye of Captain Cook; son, Brooks (Krisan) Tamaye of Maui; daughter, Jill (James) Hamada of Irvine, California, Teri (Ernest) Terukina of Aiea, Oahu, Lynn (Michael) Yagi of Captain Cook and Penny (Greig) Keaunui of Hilo; sister, Susan Muraoka of Waipahu, Oahu; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
