Michael Flanary Sr.

Michael Ray Flanary Sr., 74, of Captain Cook, died Dec. 21, 2022 at his residence. Born in Honolulu, on May 25, 1948, he was a self-employed small engine mechanic and owner of Michael Flanary Small Engine Repair. Services held. He is survived by wife, Debbie Flanary; son, Michael (Helena) Flanary; daughters, Michelle (Kalani)Brigoli, all of Captain Cook and Brandy (Jay) Perkins of Holualoa; numerous grandchildren. Warren Matsumoto

Warren Yoshiharu Matsumoto, 79, of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 16, 2022 at his residence. Born in North Kona, on Nov. 20, 1942, he was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and a cattle rancher and a member of Ka Hoku Ao Malamalama Church. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 28 at Matsumoto Ranch at 73-4290 Mamalahoa Hwy., Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; service will begin at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire. He is survived by companion, Kate Puakela of Kailua-Kona; son, Dewey (Sabrina) Matsumoto of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Penny (Robert) Matsumoto of Waimea, Korena (Michael) Matsumoto-Pratt of Las Vegas, and Melissa Matsumoto of Honolulu; brother, James Matsumoto and sister, Eileen Matsumoto, both of Kailua-Kona; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
