FOLK Book Club meets Tuesday, September 19th

Brain injury support group zoom meeting today at 4pm

Dr. Jason R. Keifer, MD (Brain Health Hawaii) will be joining us for an overview of the pathophysiology of neuronal injury, assessment of neural function, and use of non-invasive brain stimulation in patients with a history of brain injury. Powerful Tools for Caregivers Classes Offered in Kealakekua.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) classes will be offered in Kealakekua beginning on September 20. A group of 6 – 8 family caregivers will meet for 6 Wednesdays From 10AM to Noon at Christ Church on Konawaena School Road.. Classes will help participants learn to handle their caregiving challenges. Total cost for the whole six-week series is a registration fee of $10. Please call Joann D’Addio at 773-294-8773 to register or ask questions. Advance registration is required. Hilo Community Players will present DISNEY IN THE PARK

Sunday, September 17th at Kalakaua Park with shows at 2pm &4pm.

This fun, free, family day features your favorite Disney characters singing, dancing and sharing their joy. Please bring your own chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the concert and a tea party in the park with us. Snacks, stickers and bubbles will be available and donations are appreciated! Dressing as your favorite character is encouraged!
