WAIMEA — Beginning at 9 a.m. on Oct. 22, the community is invited to a new family-friendly fall event hosted by Parker School: Pumpkinpalooza.

The fun-filled, student-led event will include games, prizes, face painting and local pumpkins for sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. A spooky haunted house for all ages will be open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and a scary haunted house for kids 10 and older from 5-8 p.m.

Pumpkinpalooza will be located on the lawn beside Parker School Theater, with signs leading to the Haunted House entrance in the school’s lower hall.

The upper school’s student council came up with the idea as a way to raise money for annual events such as Canned Food Drive, Lovefest Charity Art Auction and Concert, Teacher Appreciation Week, school dances, game nights and pep rallies.

Admission is free. Games and activities will be available by purchasing tickets.
