Aston Movement Sampler with Judith Aston on Saturday, June 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Optimize daily actions applied to sitting, bending, lifting, walking and reaching. All are welcome for a review as well as new content including whole-body stretching with a focus on the proactive biodynamic aspects of loosening, toning and stretching.

Yoga Basics with Janet Lam, meets from 8 to 9 a.m. every Monday. Start your week with a smile. Although not specifically a beginner’s class, the movement sequence can easily accommodate students new to yoga or returning to a yoga practice.

Tutu’s Quilters meets every Monday from 9:30 a.m.—noon with Kathy Lukens. This get together is for experienced as well as curious beginners to learn and practice quilting Hawaiian style. Initial supplies are provided or participants can bring something you are working on. Good company and encouragement guaranteed.

Tai Chi in A Chair meets Monday, June 3 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. with Zette Amora, IYT. This ancient system of exercise is done in a slow, focused manner, using simple yet effective movements and postures while remaining seated in a chair, or standing if you prefer. With an emphasis on deep breathing, brain-body communication is enhanced; improving organ function, range of motion, balance, blood pressure, and overall physical and mental well-being. This class works well for seniors, physically challenged persons, and/or individuals recovering from surgeries.
