A 17-year veteran of the hospitality industry has been appointed has been appointed general manager of the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa, Starwood Hotels and Resorts has announced.
Scott Brooks will report directly to Keith Vieira, senior vice president operations, Hawaii and French Polynesia.
Brooks, who will manage the day-to-day operations at the 22-acre, 521-room hotel, started his career at the Westin Resort, Hilton Head Island.
He has since held several leadership positions in food and beverage and operations. Before re-joining Starwood, Brooks was the West Coast director of operations for the Grand Heritage Hotel Group, based in Portland, Ore. His most recent role was as general manager for The Westin Santa Clara.
Brooks, who is already in place at the Big Island resort, received his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University.
