Jay Slivkoff, 70, of Volcano, died Aug. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 14, 1941, in San Diego, he was an observatory technician at the University of Hawaii at Hilo in the Department of Astronomy and Physics and alumnus of the University of Hawaii.
Services are pending. Donations in his memory may be made to Hawaii Public Radio, 738 Kaheka St., Honolulu, HI 96814.
He is survived by wife, Marilyn Brown; daughter, Clearwater Slivkoff; sister, Janet Seleznoff; brother, Greg Slivkoff; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
