McClenaghan to speak at Rotary meeting
Judy McClenaghan will speak at the Rotary Club of Kona Sunrise meeting slated from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Hale Halawai in Kailua-Kona. McClenaghan will speak on the health risks of genetically modified foods. She will share highlights of two recently produced videos, “The Documented Health Risks of Genetically Modified Foods” and “Genetic Roulette.”
Rotary provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards and promotes good will and peace worldwide.
Breakfast is available for $10 per person. Rotarians and interested individuals are welcome to attend.

Seniors to celebrate February birthdays
The Kailua-Kona Seniors will meet to celebrate February birthdays and play games at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hale Halawai in Kailua-Kona.

Animal sanctuary to
dedicate new center
Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kurtistown will host a dedication ceremony for its new dog and cat adoption center from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The ceremony includes a parade of adoptable dogs; kittens and cats will also be available.
The center was made possible by a grant from the Petco Foundation.
