c UC-Irvine 4, Hawaii 1: Matt Whitehouse limited the Warriors to two hits over 7 2/3 innings, and Dominique Taylor hit a two-run homer for the Anteaters Saturday in Irvine, Calif.
Whitehouse struck out nine and walked two, and Race Parmenter pitched a perfect ninth to record the save for UC-Irvine (19-8 overall, 2-3 Big West).
Taylor’s two-run shot in the seventh gave the Anteaters a 4-0 lead, and the center fielder finished 2-for-3. Chris Rabago went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
Hawaii starter Corey MacDonald lasted 6 2/3 innings and took the loss. He gave up four runs — three earned — on seven hits, striking out five and walking one.
Piikea Kitamura went 2-for-3 and drove in the lone run for the Warriors (7-19, 2-3) in the ninth inning with an RBI single.

c Hawaii 12, UC-Riverside 2; Hawaii 8, UC-Riverside 1: The Rainbow Wahine slammed four home runs in a 12-run first inning in Game 1, giving Bob Coolen his 900th career coaching win before hitting three more homers in Game 2 Saturday in Honolulu.
Kelly Majam, Jessica Iwata, Leisha Liilii and Sharla Kliebenstein all homered in the first inning of Game 1. Majam, Kayla Wartner and Iwata went deep in the first inning of Game 2.
Kliebenstein finished 3-for-5 with six RBIs in the twinbill, while Iwata went 5-for-7 with four RBIs in the doubleheader. Majam was 3-for-7 with three RBIs.
Kaia Parnaby (28-3) picked up the win in both games for Hawaii (31-7 overall, 9-0 Big West), going the distance in Game 1, which ended after four and a half innings because of the 10-run mercy rule. She surrendered two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one.
In Game 2, Parnaby gave up a run on four hits over six innings. She struck out two and walked none.
Highlanders Game 1 starter Sophie Slagle and UC-Riverside Game 2 starter Taylor Alvarez failed to record an out in their respective outings.
At the plate, Kayla White went 3-for-6 with two RBIs in the doubleheader for the Highlanders (15-24, 0-9).
