Rochelle Minnie Borero Harris, 55, of Hilo died March 31, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a bartender and waitress at Keawe Diner and Lopaka’s Bar, worked at Langer Perfume Factory and drove the minivan for LT Co.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 11:30 a.m. service. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by mother, Vivian Borero of Hilo; daughter, Sherell (Christian) Reis of Keaau; sons, Justin (Cindy) Mason of Ocean View, Ocean (Pulama) Borero-Gorloff of Honolulu; hanai son, Byron Smith Jr. of Keaau; hanai daughters, Sara Gorloff of Oregon, Shana Rae Daguro of Oahu, Michelle Kurtz of Keaau; brothers, Byron (Donna Mae) Smith Sr. of Hilo, Alexander (Diane) Borero Jr. of Mountain View, Allan Smith of Maui; sisters, Deolinda Borero of Nevada, Diane Smith of New York, Lynn Iwalani Smith of Hilo, Maraiah (Armstrong) Yamamoto of Hawaiian Beaches, Luana Smith of Asia, Elizabeth Andrew of Palmdale, Calif.; companion, Cassius Gorloff of Keaau; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
