Tregar Misrasrik Tinteru, 69, of Pahala died April 21, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 7, 1944, in Kosrae, Micronesia, he was a heavy equipment operator.

Private services were held.

He is survived by fiancée, Anna Cariaga of Pahala; sisters, Diana (Siosi) Aliksa and Donna (Kurt) Penrose, both of Kona; brothers, Tobias Tinteru and Tarzan Tinteru, both of Marshall Islands; numerous nieces and nephews.
