c The deadline to enter the Mahiai Match-Up Agricultural Business Plan Contest, sponsored by Kamehameha Schools, Ke Alii Pauahi Foundation and Ulu Pono Initiative, is July 1. Mahiai Match-up is a statewide agricultural business plan contest for farmers and entrepreneurs looking to establish an agricultural business in Hawaii. Winners receive an agricultural lease from Kamehameha Schools (rent waived up to five years; winner must pay real property tax during that time) and a cash prize from Ke Alii Pauahi Foundation to help make the winning agricultural business plan a reality.
