More testing needed
Hawaii has the lowest numbers among the 50 states for COVID-19 cases per one million people. Hawaii is tied for first, second and third place for lowest deaths per million people. However, Hawaii is only in 22th place for testing per million people. (Worldometer.com)
Much gratitude goes to Gov. David Ige, Lt. Gov. Josh Green and Mayor Harry Kim for these results. But let’s dramatically increase our testing so we may more safely open up our economy and schools and see our family and friends again.

Not the same
I note the Saturday version of West Hawaii Today will soon be unavailable in paper version. My morning starts with my coffee and a paper version of my news, out on my deck. An electronic version is absolutely of no use to me, not even if it looks like a paper version. First and foremost, the lighting out-of-doors is such that viewing a screen is near impossible. I hear that this might be the trend in the future, to which I’d say, sadly, the industry may not have a future, and for me that would be very sad. Could I handle one day of a electronic version? Certainly. But I’m guessing it is just a start.

Muzzled without masks
Sex sells and so does fear. Yesterday’s cheesecake pimp is today’s fearmonger.
These profiteers make money on whichever side of the fence has the greenest pasture. They don’t wear masks and they talk out of both sides of their mouth. They already have most of our money and now they are glomming onto more of our liberties, too. Meanwhile, we, the sheeple, are muzzled with masks; and out of work low-level managers have turned into gestapo security guards.
If you want to get clipped you must wear your mask and stand in line, or there’s no soup for you.
The Liberty Bell? Well, it is on the skids. They need the brass for their uniforms.
