Kealakehe host “Design Day” for new playground
All day at Kealakehe Elementary School, children came up with ideas and made drawings of their ideal playground as part of “Design Day.” Many of the students’ ideas are in incorperated into Lisa Deshano’s, of Play by Design, plans. The playground will take roughly 6-7 days to build once the project is started. First, the money needs to be raised and volunteers need to be found. Fundraising is expected to go through the summer and into the next school year.
