Some of the island’s most-talented students and professional engineers were on hand at the Engineering Bash Saturday at the Thelma Parker Memorial Public and School Library in Waimea.
The free, family friendly NASA@My Library event was part of the library’s Engineers Week celebration and presented in collaboration with Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, three-time international and current Hawaii Rubik’s Cube Speedcubing Champion Matty Inaba, North Hawaii STEM Alliance, Parker School, W.M. Keck Observatory, and the Waimea Elementary/Waimea Middle Na Paniolo Robotics Team.
About 200 children and their families explored the amazing world of engineering through indoor and outdoor hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and displays.
