Nearly 4,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered Tuesday across the state.
To date, Hawaii has been awarded 1,542,440 COVID-19 vaccine doses of which 1,276,380 had been received as of Tuesday, according to the Department of Health. Of the doses received, 90% or 1,127,361 doses have been administered statewide, including 164,827 doses on the Big Island.
In addition to the vaccine doses administered by the state, 258,060 doses have been administered via the federal pharmacy program and 157,019 via federal agencies.
Including state and federal resources, about 59% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 52%, or more than 734,000 people, have completed inoculation.
On the Big Island, 56% of the island population, or 110,819 people, has received at least one dose and 44%, or about 88,000, have completed the vaccination process, according to the Department of Health.
The state is currently in Phase 2 of its vaccination plan, with all individuals 12 years of age and older eligible to be inoculated.
