The Central Pacific remained quiet Tuesday, according to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu.
No tropical cyclones are forecast to form within the area, which is where Hawaii is located, through Thursday afternoon. Forecasters were monitoring an area of low pressure far southwest of Honolulu, however, the weather system is not expected to see much development through Thursday.
Meanwhile in the Eastern Pacific, a trough of low pressure located several hundred miles south of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing some shower activity. Development, if any, should be slow to occur during the next few days. It has just a 10 percent chance of forming into a tropical cyclone within five days, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
Elsewhere in the Eastern Pacific, no tropical cyclones are forecast to develop during the coming five days, according to forecasters.
The Central and Eastern Pacific hurricane seasons continue through Nov. 30.
