Kahilu presents Kalani Peʻa Purple Hawaiian Christmas

Kamuela (HI)—Three-time Grammy winner &four-time Na HokuHanohano award winner Kalani Pe‘a returns to Kahilu for a special ‘Purple awaiian Christma’s concert on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 7pm HST. The concert will feature special guests Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winners Lorna Lim, Wailau Ryder, and featured hula performances throughout the show. Pe‘a celebrates the release of his latest holiday album “Purple Hawaiian Christmas”.

Maui Love, a benefit concert for Maui to happen Sunday in Kona

A fundraiser for Maui Survivors of the wildfires will take place this Sunday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Tony Honda Kona in Kailua Kona. 100% of donations and proceeds from the concert will go directly to Maui families displaced by the fires three weeks ago. The event will feature live music by award-winning artists, including Anuhea, Brother Noland, Kenny T and many more. Food trucks and craft vendors will also be on-site. Moonlight in the afternoon at Kahilu Theatre

As a companion event to the George Nuku sculpture residency in Volcano, pianist Meng-Chieh Liu explores night music of Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninov, and Szymanowski. Gustav Highstein joins him for Schumann’s Romances for oboe and piano.
