Vance Dale Galigo, 44, of Puna, died Dec. 13, 2017. He was born on June 4, 1973, in Hilo.

He is survived by mother, Carol Wilt; sons, Devin Galigo, Dustin Galigo, Dicetin Galigo; brothers, Shawn (Lyla) Galigo, Royden (Shiryl) Requelman; sister, Naomi Leialoha; grandparents, Theresa Wilt, Cecilia Galigo; godparents; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Rodney Piedvache

Rodney Emile Piedvache, 74, of Hilo, died Dec. 19, 2017, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born on Dec. 18, 1943, in Honolulu, he was a retired electrician for Hawaiian Electric.

He is survived by two sons, Micah Piedvache of Honolulu and Daniel Jones of Kenosha, Wisc.; ex-spouse, Suzanne Garrett of Chico, Calif.; two grandchildren.

Elaine Mishima

Mrs. Elaine Kazuko Mishima, 98, of Hilo, died Dec. 10, 2017, at a private care home in Hilo. Born Oct. 1, 1919, in Hilo, she was retired from the former Brown Fund company in Hilo as an office clerk. She was also co-owner of the former Mishima Orchids company and member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.

Private services held. No flowers. No koden.

She is survived by daughters, Maureen (Kenneth) Yamashita of Kailua, Oahu, Karen Hara of Hilo, Charlene (Ronald) Hirano of Pearl City, Oahu and Diane (Clyde) Nakasue of Hilo; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

George Tejada, Sr.

George Tejada Sr., 57, of Keaau, died Dec. 28, 2017, at Pohai Malama Hospice of Hilo. Born on April 22, 1960, in Hilo, he was a truck driver, worked for Makuu Farmers Market Association, and was a member of Sure Foundation Church.

He is survived by wife, Danielle Tejada of Hilo; sons, George Tejada Jr. of Hilo, Andrew Yamauchi of Hilo, Justin (Chasity) Tejada of Kona, James Tejada of Hilo, Jesse Tejada of Hilo, and Samuel Martines of Waimanalo; daughters, Laurisa SanJose-Ramos of Pahoa, Rebecca Martines of Hilo, Naomi Tejada of Hilo and Sarah Tejada of Hilo; brothers, Malcolm (Betty Ann) Barcase of Honolulu, Stan (Dency) Barcase, and Alex (Debra) Tejada of Hilo; sisters Doris Choriki of Montana, Marjorie Umuiwi, and Leona Fukuyama of Hilo; and two grandchildren.

Patricia Rockwood

Patricia “Tish” Ann Rockwood, 61, of Kamuela, died Dec. 29, 2017. Born March 18, 1956, in Parsons, Kansas, she was passionate about many things, but most of all her beloved pets and family.

Between the two of them, Tish and Gary had six children, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
