No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-7.5 earthquake that struck Friday morning off the east coast of Honshu, Japan.
The earthquake hit at 7:10 a.m. Hawaii time, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake’s depth was registered at about 6.2 miles.
