Residents of Regency at Hualalai senior community in Kailua-Kona made and donated caps and booties to the maternity ward at Kona Community Hospital. The residents call themselves “needlenuts” because they are enthusiastic about knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing and other hand crafts. Currently, they are working on Christmas and winter themed caps and booties, which will be delivered in December.
