Hilo Community Players offer Christmas comedy
The Hilo Community Players will present the Christmas comedy “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells.”
The play is being performed in the upstairs theater of the Hawaii Museum of Modern Art, formerly East Hawaii Cultural Center, 141 Kalakaua St. in downtown Hilo. Performances are scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, 3:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday, 3:30 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Dec. 19, 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 20 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 21.
In the play, first-grader Junie B. has a rivalry with classmate May. She and the rest of her class keep the harried teacher running in circles, and hilarity ensues. The play’s humor is appropriate for families, including small children.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for children 12 and under and are available at hilocommunityplayers.org and at the door.
