Holualoa Village will wrap up this year’s Lei Day festivities with its monthly Art-After-Dark gathering from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
More than a dozen shops, art studios and galleries will be open late to greet visitors with new art offerings, pupu and live music during May’s Art-After-Dark event.
At the MField Gallery there will be new originals by Mike Field, and artist Gary Young will be on hand showing off his native wood classic Alaia surfboards.
Pat Pearlman Designs celebrates May’s birthstone with emerald necklaces, earrings and rings. The emerald is a symbol of rebirth, and is believed to grant the owner foresight, good fortune and youth.
The Holuakoa Gardens and Cafe will be hosting author Andree D’Anna who will be signing her new book “Creations Spark.”
The Holualoa Ukulele Gallery will have “Betta Den Nothen” playing all evening on the front lanai of the old post office building, which is located across the road from the public parking lot.
David Lawrence will also be back with music from 60s rock to contemporary tunes in front of Koa Realty, which is located across the road from the Inaba family’s pink Kona Hotel.
The Ipu Arts Plus Gallery will present Dr .Tim and the Medicine Show, playing on the lanai of the old Koike Ranch &Feed store next door.
Free parking is available at the town parking lot and Holualoa School.
