A man has been charged after allegedly stealing a truck from a Hilo parking lot.
Alfred Keahilihau, 42, of Hilo, was arrested Wednesday. He was held while police completed their investigation and charged on Thursday.
Police said he took a 2006 Toyota pickup truck from a parking lot of a shopping plaza on Puainako Street on Sunday.
The truck was found on Wednesday in the Keaukaha area of Hilo.
He appeared in court on Friday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday. His bond was set at $10,000.
