The Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary is seeking new and emerging Big Island artists to take part in its annual Art at the Pavilion event slated next year.
The second annual Art at the Pavilion will be held 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 16, 2016, at the Kona Convention Center at Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay. During the event, artwork will be for sale, as well as food and gift items. A silent auction is also planned. Entertainment will be provided by Peter Weinstock on keyboard. Admission is $5, and children younger than 12 enter free.
Proceeds raised during the event will go toward the purchase of a $6,000 vein finder that can be used for both children and adults in Kona Community Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. The device allows nurses and doctors to identify hard-to-find veins and improve the chances of successfully inserting an IV on first attempt.
