Lei making workshop

Popular Hawaiian vocalist, multi Na Hoku Hanohano award winner and Hawaiian cultural practitioner Kuana Torres Kahele was at the Kona Ace Hardware on Thursday for a two-hour lei making workshop. Kahele demonstrated techniques using ti leaf and coconut fronds to create unique looking lei.

Kahele shared his lei making skills at workshops throughout the state debuting his new “Make Lei” DVD.
