Kalanianaole Avenue reopened

Kalanianaole Avenue between Kioea and Kolea streets in Hilo has reopened, Hawaii County Civil Defense said shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday. The road was closed because of hazardous conditions and runup from warning-level surf.
