Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club holds annual show

Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club held its annual show Sunday at the Daifukuji hall.

The theme “Eruption of orchids” was in time with the current volcanic eruption. An award winning miniature greenhouse with an antique orchid jewelry collection added a little sparkle to the event.

Also, the club was awarded with a special plaque from the Hilo Orchid Society for outstanding work promoting Hawaii Island as the Orchid Isle.

Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club is the first orchid club in Kona.
