The first meeting of the new book club will be on Sept. 18 from 4-6 p.m. in Waimea.
The first book discussed will be “The Third Plate” by Daniel Barber regarding the future of food. A vegetarian pupu potluck will follow the discussion.
The gathering is free to Slow Food Hawaii members or $5 to non-members, due to space constraints.
