KAILUA-KONA — A 31-year-old woman was taken into custody last week in connection to prostitution at a condo complex on Alii Drive, authorities confirmed Monday.
Cynthia Ramos was arrested at about 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday after a Vice agent located her soliciting prostitution, said Maj. Robert Wagner with Hawaii police.
Wagner said a vice agent previously found the suspect on social media and contacted her about meeting.
In an email, Wagner wrote authorities have seen prostitutes use media sites to advertise.
Wagner added there is no indication Ramos had a pimp.
