Native Christian Patriotism presentation set for Oct. 1
Dr. Ronald Williams Jr. will share a community research presentation about Native Christian patriotism and the struggle over God and the Nation in Hawaii at 6 p.m. this Monday at Imiola Church on Church Row in Waimea.
He will question how recent research within the Hawaiian language archives challenge what is known about the history of Christianity in Hawaii, the “Hawaiian Mission” and native Christians in the Hawaiian Kingdom. The event is hosted by Imiola Church.
