Mistakenly released suspect caught again

Hawaii Island police apprehended and charged a 58-year-old man who was wanted for an outstanding warrant of arrest for violating conditions of his release.

At 3:20 p.m. this afternoon, Anthony Gover was arrested without incident at a business establishment in Hilo. He is currently being held without bail in the Hilo cellblock pending his initial appearance Wednesday afternoon in Circuit Court.

Gover, a bank robbery suspect, was reportedly released from jail on accident becaues of a staff mix-up.

Police appreciate the public’s assistance for their calls on his possible whereabouts during that period.

    does this kind of thing happen other places? seems we read about HCC malfeasance at least a couple times a year here …. someone over there needs to be held accountable

    They deserve a raise for correcting their SNFU (Situation Normal all F**ked Up.) And the county keeps hiring more of them.
