Trump: US, allies attacking Syria to stop chemical weapons
WASHINGTON — The United States, France and Britain launched military strikes in Syria to punish President Bashar Assad for a suspected chemical attack against civilians and to deter him from doing it again, President Donald Trump announced Friday. Explosions lit up the skies over Damascus, the Syrian capital, as Trump spoke from the White House.

Russians were warned ahead of strike. Token action. Compromising the Russian and Iranian communication network in Syria would have been the appropriate result. Or can’t we do that? What are our defense budgets good for then?!
My Grandfather was gassed twice during WWI in the trenches of France. Hospitalized for months both times. France and GB remember all to well how heinous gas attack warfare is.
President Trump gave indications that he wanted us out of Syria, as it is a Muslim on Muslim conflict. That was a signal to Assad that he could get away with another gas attack and the U.S. would do nothing. He found out that he was wrong. GO TRUMP!
