HILO — Mayor Harry Kim has been diagnosed with walking pneumonia but is continuing his work, Managing Director Wil Okabe said Tuesday.
Okabe said Kim is taking antibiotics to address the problem.
“The mayor is very much in charge, but he’s pacing himself to ensure the county is running smoothly,” Okabe said. “The mayor is very much engaged in the day-to-day affairs of the county and is being updated during the current eruption event.”
Kim is awaiting the results of medical tests, Okabe said.
Kim, 78, had a heart attack, his fifth, in late April.
Is It Contagious?
Yes. It spreads through sneezes or coughs.
But it spreads slowly. If you get it, you could be contagious (which
means you could spread it to other people) for up to 10 days. – WebMD
Well, I’m glad he’s keeping up with his work then. Maybe he can join Hillary Clinton and hug a child for a photo op. Of course, that was safe, she didn’t actually have anything other than falling to pieces disease, despite the campaign lies (even Bill couldn’t keep it straight).
Not to be confused with the rockin’ pneumonia.
We still feel not sorry for him, because what he does to this county is bad.
