“New Buildings Under Way”

No byline

Ground is broken for the new $2.5 million Casa de Emdeko condominium project. Located on 4 acres on the makai side of Alii Drive, the 106-unit condominium complex is being constructed by Emdeko Development of Hawaii Inc. The one- and two-bedroom units will range in price from $37,000 to $75,000.

Ground was also blessed and broken for the Waimea Village Inn, a 40-unit, $1.3 million hotel in Waimea. It is slated to open in September 1969. The 40 units will include 10 apartment-type units and 30 hotel rooms. Ten of the 30 hotel rooms are adjacent to apartment units and can be joined to provide 10 two-bedroom apartments. The inn will also include space for shops and a restaurant.
