We have controversies in Kona when a house seems to be too close to the property line. Once upon a time, I was a surveyor, everything from the location of a dog house to a big piece of land you may have heard of called it’s called Arizona. We helped make Google Earth possible.

Oregon woman missing in South Kohala
The Hawaii Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance with locating 54-year-old Rebecca Roth of Oregon, who has been reported missing by family members. Roth was last contacted on March 30, 2021, and was believed to be in the South Kohala area, with plans to travel the entire Big Island. Roth is Caucasian, 5’6”, 130 pounds, long brown hair, brown eyes and a nose ring in her right nostril. Roth is believed to be operating a white, 2006, pick-up truck (unknown make/model) with a camper shell and Oregon state license plates.
Pair of earthquakes rattle Big Island
The U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) recorded a magnitude-4.3 earthquake located beneath Mauna Loa’s south flank on Saturday at 11:15 a.m. This earthquake was preceded by a magnitude-3.9 at approximately the same location at 11:02 a.m.
