KAILUA-KONA – The Warriors were just about unstoppable in Saturday’s 19-0 victory over Kealakehe Saturday.
Dylan Honda and Kaden Oshiro combined for a four-inning no-hitter – the only Kealakehe base runner was Keyshawn Lorenzo, who reached in the bottom of the first after being hit by a pitch – and the offense belted out run after run to make quick work of the host Waveriders.
Honda was particularly impressive on the mound, striking out eight of the nine batters he faced to earn the win. Keanu Alokoa took the loss for the Waveriders.

Konawaena def. Kohala 25-14, 25-15, 21-25, 25-15
Levaka and Aiden Allred combined for 30 kills and 9 aces for the Wildcats in a four-set victory over Kohala.
Tennis
Waiakea and Hawaii Prep have made their marks early on in the season; both the boys and girls teams are 2-0 for both schools.

HPA girls def. Kealakehe girls 5-0
Both HPA squads earned victories against Kealakehe: the boys in a narrow 3-2 win and the girls in a 5-0 sweep. On the boys’ side, HPA’s pair of default wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles proved crucial, as Kealakehe’s Hunter Felte and Keoni Roth each earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. On the girls’ side, the match of the day came at No. 1 singles, where HPA’s Emilia Tretau edged out Maile-Lei Ji 7-5, 7-5.

Only three matches were played, with Makua Lani’s Cody Baker (boys No. 1 singles), Allyah Richert (girls No. 1 singles) and Slu Jeong and Mikella Chang (girls No. 1 doubles) earning wins.

Both Hilo’s boys and girls squads earned wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, but Hawaii Prep took the remainder of the matches to earn a pair of close victories.

Keaau girls def. Parker girls 3-1
Only two matches were played on the boys’ side, with Parkers Kyle Groves and JC Montenegro winning at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
On the girls’ side, Kaya Long was the lone Parker player to earn a win, taking her match at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0.
